Can anyone recommend a Company on no win no fee basis. My son had an accident at school in Scotland ,this was due to lack of safety equiptment after that incorrect first aid given. We have waited a considerable time for the report and findings.
This happened two years ago , can we still claim?

South of the boarder PI claims can be started up to three years after the incident or three years after the injured person hits 18 whichever is later.0

Will the Law Society give me independant advice free as to which direction to take? Another suggestion someone has suggested is using my House Insurance free legal scheme.
Ideas anyone?0 -
Your Legal Expenses insurance on your home, if you have it, may provide cover if they feel there is reasonable prospects of success.
The Law Society of Scotland will not give legal advice
On their page, select the search by area of work and choose personal injury. Then put in your location and it will give you the list of 500+ solicitors in scotland that do this type of work ranked by distance.
When you speak to the solicitors check what proportion of your son's award they would keep if you were successful0 -
If you use the legal cover from your home insurance, they should appoint a solicitor on their panel for you and there should not be any deduction from your son's compensation.
The law society will only tell you who is on their panel of accredited firms, not which specific firm to use. They will not offer advice0 -
Have spoken to our House Insurance Company and the claim forms will be in the post on Monday. Have given me straight forward Legal Advice which I can understand.0
