Hi

just wondered if anyone had any advice before i have to make the dreaded call to BT....

Have had YV BT HD for a month , and constantly HD recordings on terristrial TV show as failed , no clashes of anything , for example , the turks spy drama on BBC HD last night , this morning shows as failed , but Hotel Inspector on CH *NON HD* is fine , eastenders BB3 *NON HD* fine , always Eastenders on BBC1 HD , fails, along with Corrie on ITV HD

Sometimes shows as `not watched` until you highlight it , then immediatley changes to `failed`

This doesnt happen on Internt HD channels , can record UFC in HD on BT Sport with no issues

Have retuned the box , and set a couple of daytime telly HD recordings for today , so wil see if they fail when i get home

any advice please?
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Are you in an area with two competing Freeview transmitters? Also, on HD channels, whats the signal strength and signal quality %, Dan-Dan? (you'll find these under 'settings').

Hi vision man , hope your well

the BBC 1 HD channel says strength 52% and quality 100%.....and this channel always fails HD recordings

I did online chat with a BT agent yesterday who said my speed is not high enough for extra tv hence the recordings are failing (?!?)

I have london and cambs/beds to pick from when i retune..

then did some tests and said exhange to hub is excellent but some problem hub to computer , and to run a speed test and let them know...(which i will do this morning)

    whaddya reckon?

Thanks for that info. Firstly, its not a BB problem its either an aerial reception or box one. Or both. I can't help you with aerial problems as I don't possess the technical knowledge. But there are a wealth of very helpful people on the YouView forum who do and may be able to help you.

So I'd post your problem on there and see how you get on. Hope you get it resolved soon.

I did assume it wasn't bb (or hoped!) because how would it be able to record 4 hour UTC events in HD ?!

Will check that sit out thanks VM
