Currys online / local return policy

Morning all - sorry if this is the wrong place, thought it was the best fit.
For Christmas we bought the kids a Asus Memo tablet and lately one of them has problem with charging / turning on. Its a well documented 'feature' with the tablet due to some capacitors or something in the charging circuit.
Now, this is happening once every couple of days meaning we have to pop the back off, disconnect the battery, connect it again and it works. As its only about 4 months old I want to get this replaced.
As I bought it online, can I take it to the local currys shop and get it dealt with there and will I just get the 'send it back, we will repair and send back'. As its only 4 months old I would prefer a replacement.
Where do I stand with this - any advice appreciated!
Thanks.
M.

You can request a replacement however they have the choice of repair, replace or refund. You cannot insist that they replace. They are highly likely to want to send it for repair.0
