If you fancy checking it out for yourself, we’ve teamed up with Tourism Ireland to offer a three-night stay for two in the Maritime Hotel in Bantry. The prize also includes return flights from the UK, dinner in O’Connor’s Seafood Restaurant and the opportunity to join a gourmet day-tour of the area, organised by Laura and Andrew of Manning's Emporium. And, as West Cork is part of the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way, the longest-defined coastal touring route in the world, the winner will receive free car hire too.

The prize is three nights for two people in a classic double or twin room at the Maritime Hotel, Bantry, with an Irish breakfast on each morning; return flights for two people between the UK and Cork (to the value of £250 per person); a voucher for €150 to exchange for dinner at O’Connors Seafood Restaurant, Bantry; two places on a gourmet tour of West Cork operated by Manning’s Emporium; and car hire for the duration of the break, provided by Budget Car. Vehicle is a group 3 (Nissan Almeria or similar) and hire includes Collision Damage Reduction (zero excess), Unlimited Mileage, Theft Protection Insurance, Airport Surcharge, Breakdown Cover and VAT (minimum 25 years old; over 75 permitted subject to conditions; full unendorsed UK licence required).
