Kitten Advice Wanted Please

I have a new kitten who I collected from its previous owner yesterday. She is very inquisitive and playful and also sleeps a lot. When she is awake she plays nonstop. However I just can't get her to eat or drink and I'm not particularly sure she's actually doing her business in the litter tray although she just scratch the litter and squat. I've looked but I can't see anything. I haven't been too persuasive with her as she might still be nervous and scared. I tried spoon feeding her wet food, tried feeding it by hand, spoon and rubbing it on her mouth hoping she might realise. And she hasn't drunk any water or kitten milk. It's been over 24 hours since she's been here. Should I be concerned or is this normal for a kitten?

how old is she and have you taken her to the vet yet for her first check ? She might be constipated or worse e.g. Worms
Good luck, hope you get it sorted soon. Poorly pets are such a worry.0 -
Take her to the vets first thing in the morning its better to be safe than sorry.0

your kitten might need time to settle in I got two kittens a few weeks back one eat and drank straight away the other it was 48 hours and then it was still wary of things its only now that she not as scared. its been 4 weeks now0

she may be too interested in her new surroundings to bother with food and drink. and it was 24 hours at least before my present cat 'used' the litter tray - although he was an adult cat when I got him. its always a good idea to take a new pet to the vet for a 'check over'. and discuss neutering, fleas and worming etc. so I would do that if I were you.0
