Alarm clock for Windows XP

Can anyone tell me how I can set an alarm from Windows XP or recommend a free one I could download?
I'd like to be able to set an alarm on my laptop so that when I'm busy working (or surfing) it alerts me with a sound of some sort. I can't see how to set one in Windows XP but maybe I haven't looked in the right place yet.
I've looked on tucows but there are loads and I don't like downloading and installing stuff unless it has been recommended.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You could use the calender mode in outlook? insert an appointment for when you want your alarm to sound, and you get a reminder pop up on your screen.0

There's a very nice piece of software called "Stickies" that can be downloaded and installed. Works like electronic Post-It notes.
The advantage here is that you can have it play sounds, display the note and jump up and down on screen in front of you. If you are working from a server, it will install on there as well (which is how I've done it).

Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Dunno about a special program, the computer always wakes DH up anyway because it doe a virus scan at 6am and that is noisy enough to wake him:rotfl:0

Thanks for the suggestions.
I've downloaded "Stickies" but haven't had time to work out how to use it properly - looks like it will do the job I want and much more.0
