I'm using Word for Mac 2007.

I'm writing a letter that will be sent in an envelope that has a window for the address. It's the size of envelope where you fold twice so the letter is in thirds.

Is there a way to set up the letter so the receiving address is positioned correctly for the envelope window?

Thanks
SB

Have a read of this. It has some good pointers. It's for Open Office but should work with Word

Adjust the zoom on screen to match the paper size.

Insert a text box where you want the address to be (hold an envelope to the screen and drag'n'drop).

    Assuming it's a regular DL envelope, it's 220mm wide by 110mm high.

The window size is 39mm high by 93mm wide and it's located 53mm from the top edge and 19mm from the left edge.

Leave a 5mm buffer on all 4 sides as there's a few mm leeway with a folded A4 sheet.

That leaves you with hardly any room for the address - most companies using snail mail use non standard envelopes with bigger windows.
