Bit complicated but we are on a DMP with CCCS £20k remaining.
Hubby works away all week and I am currently on mat leave. Baby due in 5 weeks.
Income has decreased due to mat leave.
Hubby would like to work nearer to home so he can be a father to his children and support for me instead of feeling like a part timer.
Problem is if he gets a job at home his wages will decrease quite a lot, so we wont be able to afford DMP payments or the £800pm mortgage.
We know our options are to stay as we are (very difficult and sole destroying for us both)
Sell up asap move in mith Mum and dad then rent, but we know this can take a while and don't think we can go on that long and also if we sell I think we are in negative equity so what will happen there?
Or do we do the scary thing and go bankrupt, our credit is already destroyed by defaults, so we know we wont be able to get decent credit for years.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice.
I am still waiting for CCCS to get back to me.
How long will it take before mortgage comp go for repossesion? We are with igroup and they were really off when we underpaid one month, can I just tell them we cant afford the mortgage and they can have the house?
Help hormones taking over.
