Does completion have to be done by 12pm legally??

Waiting to here from my estate agent to collect the keys. I thought i read somewhere this has to be by 12pm?

Today is completion day what legal rights do i have?

    we didn't complete till about 2/3pm last time we moved due to solicitors further along the chain. Not sure there is any sort of legal time, the main barrier is completing before BACS cut off's etc

    No particular time for completion - and yes does need to be done b4 Electronic Funds Transfer cutt of time.
  • It depends on your contract, usually it says 12pm is default unless otherwise specified.
    Sense is not common.

    Most sols change this time to 2pm or even 2.30pm.

    only cos of them missing their lunchtime, otherwise................

    Hey only just got my net connection up again!! NTL for you :/

    Yeah it went well, had to wait til about 330 as the vendor had forgot to drop the keys off (seems to be his last way of making an already difficult purchase go on that little longer!) then have spent the last 5 days unpacking box after box and filling bin bag after bin bag of stuff i should have chucked away when I initially started packing :mad: everything is done now just need to catch up with the washing, and its been raining last few days lol !

    hi
    we havent moved in yet as theres so much to get sorted, its turned into a refurb project and we are only at the quotes stage so still a few months to go i guess, but i'm there every evening stripping wallpaper and trying to do my bit!

    see you over in the DIY forum maybe...
