Hi ..my 24 yr old son has looked at some cars...his first...considering leasing. I have no knowledge of lease...what are downsides? thanks
IMO, a high cost for a vehicle you'll never own, with restrictions on what you can and can't do (mileage, accessories, etc) and the almost-certain likelihood that when you hand it back, there'll be a big bill for every scratch, scuff and mark on the car no matter how small, plus a few made-up mechanical issues.
If it's his first car, buy a banger. It will get scratched, scuffed, dented or crashed.0 -
