Excel PCN Appeal (Infamous Peel Centre Stockport)

Hi Everyone,
Just signed up to MSE after doing some research into Excel Parking Ltd. Must say I'm extremely impressed by all the information provided on the forum to help people such as myself in appealing these 'fines'.
After doing a lot of reading up on such companies, I have now forwarded an appeal to Excel using the template in the newbie section.
In response I received an automated email stating that in order to process my appeal they required:
(1) The parking notice serial number, which I have provided.
(2) Motorists full postal address. I did not provide this as they obviously have mine (registered keepers)
(3) The full name of the motorist, Which I did not provide them with.
Just wanted to double check I have followed the correct procedure in refusing to provide the drivers name and address?
Thanks in advance!
John

correct, its cancel or popla code time , no disclosures
if its the auto response email , ignore it, just accept they have your appeal and you have nothing further to add0 -
Thanks for your quick response redx.
If they decline my appeal will they supply me with the popla code or would I need to request one?
And should I also send them a copy of my appeal letter via recorded mail or will the email copy be sufficient enough? (my printer is knackered)
Cheers0 -
They should send you a POPLA code with their rejection. Not all PPCs actually do though.
And email should be fine, as long as they accept appeals in that format. If sending a snail mail letter, never send recorded - certificate of posting (free) from the PO is perfectly fine.
EDIT: SNAP!0 -
they "should" supply a popla code with your refusal, if they dont report them to the BPA as its a breach of their CoP
as you have the auto response , you should not have to send in a letter but if you do get a free certificate of posting at the P.O. (dont send recorded)0 -
I gather it's unlikely they will accept my initial appeal but from what I've read popla appeals are running at a 100% success rate on here.
So I'll await my appeal rejection letter then take it from there.
In the meantime I won't be losing any sleep over it anyway.
Cheers guys!0 -
Hey guys
Received my appeal decision from popla today and I'm delighted to say it has been successfull!
Thanks to everyone for their advice and please keep up the good work as it's greatly appreciated by 'newbies' such as myself

Great news!
Could you possibly add the POPLA decision to the 'POPLA decisions' thread? It's linked by Crabman in the 'forum stickies' near the top.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
