Carry on doing and enjoying them as long as you possibly can - even your trips to France, for lunch. Then, when you can no longer get out as much, you will still have your fabulous memories
Thank you very much! My mention of lunch in our favourite Calais restaurant was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but you know what I mean. We don't go very often and amazingly, Madame la patronne seems to remember us when we go!
As long as the ferry companies offer excellent deals we'll continue to go occasionally. At least we don't take a van, go to the Calais hypermarket, fill up with cheap booze and buy fags to sell on the black market (we've seen people doing this). DH gets AA but we do still pay tax.
