    Thank you very much! My mention of lunch in our favourite Calais restaurant was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but you know what I mean. We don't go very often and amazingly, Madame la patronne seems to remember us when we go!

    As long as the ferry companies offer excellent deals we'll continue to go occasionally. At least we don't take a van, go to the Calais hypermarket, fill up with cheap booze and buy fags to sell on the black market (we've seen people doing this). DH gets AA but we do still pay tax.

    We've had experiences in life which taught us that you really do not know what's round the next corner and that's why we believe in living life to the full, while we still can.
