Dryer insurance?
C'mon man seriously?
Poss covered on your home insurace, but really they can be picked up cheap *shrug*0 -

Nice attitude...
I did mention it was possibly covered on your home insurance, did you even check before posting? Might've just saved you paying an additional £x amount per month for something that is already covered. Many overpay on insurance just trying to help and make sure you aren't one of them

A new jar? no an old one will do
I am assuming you are talking about buying an extended warranty for it breaking down?
Personally, I would self insure and put money into a pot and use it to pay for any repair/ replacement necessary.
You have the Sales of Goods Act which means you should expect a "reasonable life" from it up to the statute of limitations (6 years england) and so really the initial fund should only be covering consumables.
Fire, flood, technically theft etc would be covered by your home insurance and if you've had a flood bad enough to kill your dryer then you've probably had many more losses from the same event so will be claiming on your home cover anyway. Not sure how many thieves target dryers0
