Savings accounts with only a passbook

Hi , I'm trying to find a savings account that just has a passbook as I find that way of saving easier as its more difficult for me to get access to it. I'm finding any of the banks i've checked so far only do online/phone savings accounts and for some you have to have your current account with them.
Are passbooks a thing of the past?
Thanks, mogs

they're not, you just need to go to a building society.
where abouts are you based?0 -
Building societies certainly do have accounts with passbooks, though I have one account that can be managed by phone or in branch. This does not have a passbook, but sends regular statements, either quarterly or after a set number of transactions if these occur sooner.0

Lots of building societies still have passbook accounts. Halifax also have one, called Passbook Saver, which pays 0.5% variable interest.

Santander also do one. It's the Instant Saver, but you can't find out anything about it online except this statement:
If you are looking for an account with a Passbook ask in branch about our Instant Saver.
As others have said, every building society in the country still has passbook accounts. They can be convenient for people who like visiting a branch but the interest is nearly always a piittance.0
