Egg CRP (PPI) claim confusion - can anyone help?

I put in a claim for a CRP refund to Canada Square Operations as I have a pre-existing medical condition that would have prevented me receiving any payouts from the policy as I was never asked to disclose it.
I received a letter today stating that my claim had been upheld as there was CRP on my card however I wouldn't be receiving any money as there were never any premiums taken so the policy hadn't been applied.
I know for a fact that I had a balance on the card for a number of years so cannot see how I wasn't paying anything as the policies were calculated on a percentage of any outstanding balance on the card.
Has anyone had experience of this and/or can anyone advise what my next move should be?
Thank you

I would send Canada Square Operations a SAR letter, if you have not already done so. The statements for your Egg card account will show clearly where they have taken CRP premiums (mine did).
Also unless they were changing their terms and conditions my card agreement and statements also state that there is a minimum CRP charge that is mandatory on the account.
So SAR first then write back and dispute their assessment if you find premiums on the statements.
Hope that helps.0 -
Thank you for the advice, I'll send the Sar and see what comes back.0
