Unable to get cpp claim form

Hello,

I know cpp are taking around £37 from my credit card every year. I think I signed up for it with egg card back when I was a student in around 2002. So the cpp is registered to an address I have no idea of and I don't know the policy number either because its so long ago.

I rang the cpp redress scheme and they told me they cannot help me because I don't know my address details. Given as far as I can see the only way one can get a claim form is if they send it to me, this seems a catch-22. Does anyone have any idea how I can therefore stop them charging my credit card and get them to send me a claim form?

Cheers,

Mark

    Hi Mark,

I had this problem too, I had a student HSBC credit card that I knew had CardGuard on it but couldn't remember the address. I rang CPP but failed the security questions so they couldn't update my details. The guy I spoke to told me to write them a letter requesting to update my details with as much information as possible.

I sent the letter explaining that I had the credit card, the year I opened it, the address I was at when I opened it, my date of birth and included a copy of my birth certificate and driving licence. I requested that they update my details and provided my current address and telephone number.

They wrote to me with a policy number but when I rang back it was for a different account that I never knew I had card protection with! They couldn't find my HSBC account but the guy gave me the telephone number for HSBC CardGuard, I rang them, answered the usual security questions and he gave me my policy number so I could provide it to CPP. Got my claim form yesterday.

So you could either try updating your details like I did or ring the Egg cpp company to get your policy number. The address I sent the letter to was
    Scheme Processing Services Ltd
    PO Box 250
    Wymondham
    NR 18 8DG

    Good Luck
