CEL Court Claim Form

Recently I have received a court stamped N1 Claim Form from County Court Money Claim Centre in Salford - The claimant being Civil Enforcement Limited (CEL) with the details of claim 'damages arising from breach of contract and Payment by the defendant to the claimant of the total amount £165'
This arose from parking on a Co-Op store car park in 2013.
The first I was aware of the alleged incident was almost 5 months later when I received a 'Demand for payment' letter from Debt Recovery Plus Limited (DRP) to which I replied stating that I had no intention of paying and disputing that any money was owed, further stating that I have never received a Parking Charge Notice, Letter to Keeper nor any correspondence from CEL indicating the alleged contravention. Since then I have received further demands for payment and an offer of reduction in payment from DRP and a Notice of Assignment of Debt from CEL. I have ignored these letters/threats as advised on other threads.
I will acknowledge the claim, saying that I intend to defend it in full and ask for 28 days to formulate my defence.
I have read through the 'sticky thread for newbies' and found many useful tips. Can anyone help and advise me on how best to formulate my defence and/or prevent further action.
Many thanks for your assistance.

Thanks Redx for the links. I have/did read these posts and will be emailing Mr Murrells tomorrow.
I will have to submit a defence to CEL's Court Claim in any event, in the event that Co-Op decide not to help, so any assistance would be welcome.
Many Thanks0 -
Start by reading the NEWBIES thread section on 'small claims court' to see what's what about a decent defence and to see the CEL case won by Ms McCafferty, etc.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

So, after complaining to the Co-op, I too have had a response from their Customer Care Team confirming their 'intervention on my behalf' and 'ensuring that the matter is fully resolved'
I suppose you could call it a result. It looks like I wont have a day out in court after all0 -
Sorry don't rely upon them to sort this out, you must submit a defence otherwise you risk a default judgement against you. Work on the presumption that the coop is not helpingWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Thank you Stroma, I am aware of this as I pointed out in post # 40

Please could you help. I have had a PCN from a company called Civil Enforcement stating that I have stayed over the time limit in their car park. This car park is for restaurants /cinema and large Tesco, on this date when I am supposed to have 'breached' this time limit I had been for a meal in Nandos and then to the cinema for a 3 and a half hour film (Wolf on Wall Street). This surely cannot be a reasonable charge? I have had 2 letters and now they are saying i have to pay £100 before 28 days or they will take me to court. Please could someone advise me what I should do! Thanks0

Well it turns out that the Co-op have been true to their word, and have paid CEL the unenforceable £130.00 charge on my behalf, as today I have received a letter from them saying that they have now 'discontinued proceedings and have informed the Court of the same'
Is it any wonder that the Co-op have today reported losses of £1.5 billion !
Thanks for your advice and support and Good luck to you all.0
