Double yellow line

I know that some of you are a bit clever so wondering if the following 'end' of these double yellow lines falls within the correct regulations?

Wondering before i dispute a parking ticket

I stand to be corrected but it's an urban myth about the end of double yellows being incorrectly painted invalidating a parking penalty. So yes, IMHO, DY is fine.

That's not to say other things couldn't be incorrect and for better advice on this I would suggest you post on https://www.pepipoo.com

interesting. Seems to be conflicting comments online about what the regulations are. > http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2002/023113ba.gif

i'll appeal anyway - can't do any harm

Is it a PC zig zag? If so is the contravention for parking on PC?

No, the lines go round a corner, this was where the car was 'parked' one end is closed off, (as per traffic regs) and the other end is as the picture.

The ticket was for parking on DYL

So you parked on double yellow lines? Isn't that like asking for a ticket?

Not in every case - there are exemptions that allow parking/stopping on a yellow line or two of course.

The OP needs to take this to pepipoo or they'll appeal, get the usual rejection letter and think that means the end. Not the case, in almost every situation pepipoo posters win their appeals BUT it will not be on the 'painting of the line', believe me:

But don't post on pepipoo without pictures of BOTH SIDES of the PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
