Hi

First time posting so hope this offer is a good deal for everyone :)

I have just booked a £399 Florida offer with Co-op Travel - bargain! I found it on Travel Zoo. The offer is with Co-op Travel who use Travel Zoo as an advertising newsletter.

What's included

Direct return flights with Monarch Airlines to Orlando with 20kg checked luggage and in-flight meals
Seven nights at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway on a room-only basis
Free car hire for the week, including third-party insurance
When

London Gatwick...
£399 -- 29, 31 May; 5, 7, 12, 14, 19 June
£449 -- 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 September

Other options
Children can travel on any date from London Gatwick for £349 each, or from Manchester for £379. Extend your holiday to two weeks for a supplement of £100 per adult and no supplement for children. If you want to arrange your own accommodation, you can get the flights and car hire only from £369 per person.

I would make sure there's not going to be hidden charges with the "Free car hire" when you arrive at the airport to pick it up.

If I've booked a package in the past I've usually found it better value to book and pay for the car I want with another company rather than pay the upgrade and insurances with the tour operator.

Apparently. It runs from June till the end of November. Worse late August until November.

We've been twice in June, once in July, twice in August, never seen a hurricane yet.

Me too. I once had to pay for the privilege of declining the 'free car hire' (with Virgin), but it was still a lot better value to arrange my own car hire (with Airline Network, now known as Netflights).

You need fully comp insurance, i.e CDW etc. Double check the insurance supplement you will have to pay locally as it may be cheaper to book your own car.
