ANPR Spinningfields Manchester

Hi all, We are a Manchester courier company who has to visit Spinningfields on many ocasions and my drivers are forever getting tickets from ANPR. One of our drivers in our vehicle received a Parking charge notice (warning notice to driver) whilst delivering there 29/01/2014 which I have ignored.

I have now been issued a outstanding parking notice (invoice) to our company for £100.00.

Reading the forums in the past the advice was to ignore everything which I have done before and the letters eventually went away. Is this still the case as I am being told not quite as easy as this any more. Thanks

Correct they should not be ignored for England and Wales

I take it the driver got a windscreen ticket.
If so what you have now received is classed as a Notice to Keeper - has to be received between 29 and 56 days of the alleged parking event.
As the driver did not respond to the original ticket there would no longer be an appeal route possible as the driver but this can be appealed as the registered keeper if someone in the company is prepared to do it.

See the advice on sticky NEWBIES thread about appealing 1st to the Parking company.

Doesn't take much time or effort - there are templates to help you put in the initial appeal - here is the link to the NEWBIES sticky mentioned above

If you mean ANPR Ltd. then yes, they are safe to ignore as they can't find their a**e with both hands let alone a court room.

However, if you get loads of these, you could appeal every single one of them, first to ANPR Ltd. and then, when they reject, to PoPLA. This needn't be onerous if you draw up a template for each stage of the appeal and send the same thing every time just with the date and their reference changed.

Every appeal that goes to PoPLA costs them £27 + VAT, so after a dozen or so they'll realise that you are costing them all their profit at this site and they'll stop bothering you.

Outstanding Parking 'awards' are certainly the work of 'Trev the Clamp' of ANPR Ltd 'fame'! Here's a typical thread about how to beat this bunch (warning, this link includes Trev's mugshot!):

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=82513

They are the joke of the parking forums, so have fun telling them how pleased you are to have been commended on 'outstanding parking' by one of your drivers as it's lovely to get feedback from such a professional looking firm!! There are plenty more threads like that on here and on pepipoo and beating them at POPLA is as easy as it gets with the usual words. Start by reading the NEWBIES sticky thread and use the template first appeal I wrote to appeal at this stage.

I would appeal it and win at POPLA as practice, so that as a firm or Fleet Manager, you know the score for winning at POPLA...ready for when you get one from a litigious bunch like ParkingEye or Excel. This one would be a great one to cut your POPLA teeth on, and once you've seen through a winning POPLA appeal you can do the same to almost any PPC (including ParkingEye, Excel, etc.).

  • Hi All,
I am dealing with ANPR re a parking ticket on private land as above. I now have a popla code so ready to do my first popla appeal.
We were parked whilst delivering to the courts. I guess I need to add this in to my popla appeal but could someone please point me to a template letter I could use. Thanks Ian

    Hi ianhaslop,

FYI posts 6 and 7 have been merged into your existing thread as they were originally posted in a new thread on the Motoring Board.

Read post #3 in the NEWBIES thread & click on 'How to win at POPLA' then show us your draft, based on a similar type of PCN (i.e. if there was a windscreen ticket which it sounds as if there was, then find an example in 'How to win at POPLA' about a windscreen ticket - not about ANPR cameras, despite the scumbags' name!).

Or search this forum for 'Trev POPLA' to find threads about Trevor Whitehouse & his stupid ANPR Ltd, where people have already posted about their POPLA appeal wording. These are sooo easy to beat there's actually too much to tell you about ANPR Ltd, so a search would be good, for you to read other people's experiences!
