What are the pros and cons of apprentaships?

What are the pros and cons of apprenticeships please? Do you get exams still? How much is your wage? Do you get paid weekly? Do you get paid holiday entitlement? How good is the qualification at the end of the apprenticeship to further your career?
Things will get better day by day.
