Charges increased - should I claim them?

Hi

Here is a question for you ....
tomorrow, 3rd July, is my deadline for the Nationwide to respond to my promise to take them to the small claims court expires for charges totalling £140.
In the past 14 days, my account has slipped into the red and a further £60 has been charged in unauthorised overdraft charges making the overall total £200.
However, I have based all my correspondence to Nationwide on £140 and not of course £200.
Should I claim for the original £140 on the basis that this is the sum in question in my letters or should I now claim £200 when I pursue throught he small claims court tomorrow?
Are there grounds by Nationwide to defend their case on the basis of me increasing my claim "mid-process" if that makes sense?
Many thanks
SM

You are entitled to claim all charges and interest right up to the last minute before you file your court claim so don't worry about your correspondence with the bank. You do not have to send them another letter with the updated amount either - they will know what it is once they get the notice from court.
