2009 Astra with "spaceship" mileage - worth a punt?

A friends father has recently had his licence revoked due to eyesight problems and has offered me his car at a "bargain" price. The car is a 2009 (58) Astra 1.7 CDTi, which was company owned from new until February 2013, when my friends father purchased it from the company when it was taken out of service at 4 years old.
He has said that he would take £1300 for it (less than half the list price) because of it's high mileage - currently 429K
I've taken a look at the car and it starts and drives perfectly, with immaculate bodywork and no smoke - it also has a folder of paperwork about 2 inches thick, 21 Main Dealer service stamps and no less than 6(!) working keys and fobs.
Looking through the paperwork it has had plenty of work, including 3 new turbo's at intervals of approximately 130K, but the engine itself appears to be the original.
The car was only ever used to transfer documents on a twice weekly basis between Aberdeen and London, so the miles were mainly done on motorways.
What do you reckon - worth buying at the price?

I don't know what list your getting your price from, but throw it away, now.
If you want it, buy it, but at no more than £500 and that is because you know its history. Taking into account the mileage it is right down there at net zero value as a trade-in.0 -

Thanks - I might tell him that if he can't shift it through other channels I'd be interested at a much reduced price.0 -

The three cheapest 2009 1.7CDTi Astras on AutoTrader right now are £1500 (09/59 estate, 130k miles), £2400 (10/59 estate, 190k), £2500 (08/57 hatch, 71k), then a stack from £2500 upwards. £1300 isn't an absolute bargain (and 430k really does qualify as spaceship!), but the "half list" doesn't seem unrealistic if you ignore that £1500 outlier, which doesn't say it's been a write-off, but I'd be viewing on full alert.Taking into account the mileage it is right down there at net zero value as a trade-in.
Nah, the taxi boys'd whip it away in seconds flat. It's gotta be worth more than £500 in bits, easily.
If t'were me, I'd be happy paying a grand or so for it - then looking for a replacement driver's seat! <grin>0
