Hi
I have just renewed our mortgage with Lloyds TSB and as part of the T&C's we would get a £500 cashbook on a pre paid visa card. The T&C's were that we would get this money back after 30days of starting the mortgage.
So after 40 days - I rang up and asked where this money cashback was.
Cut a few long telephone calls later to lloyds and the credit card compnay that should send out the card. The credit card company still have no agreement with Lloyds to send any cards or money out.
Where do I stand as I now believe Lloyds have broken our mortgage contract and the contract/mortgage was offering this £500 cashback. They have not done so.
Should I and could i take action to cancel to reclaim this money. As far as Im concerned they have falsey advertised this cashback. This breaks the mortgage contract.
What can and should i do ?
many thanks
Tony

Hi Mark.
The gift card should be with you 30 days after completion of the mortgage. If you've already been waiting for longer than this please send me an email to confirm your full name & postcode and I'll look into this for you. Our email address can be found here.
Thanks

We are having the exact same issue, our mortgage wasconfirmed back in April and again we was advised that our £500 cash back wouldbe available in due course. I emailed the mortgage advisor we was dealing with(who unfortunately has now left) and she said she would chase this up for us.
After several (expensive) phone calls where we was told wewould receive the money in all sorts of ways; direct to our bank, posted as acheque, put on a prepaid card, even paid to our solicitor which resulted in anuncomfortable phone call; we have now received a letter to say we are notentitled to the money.
It was part of the reason we chose this mortgage offer overothers and have spent time and money claiming this back. We have forwarded themails where the mortgage advisor has stated 'sorry to hear you have not had themoney' yet but apparently this isn't enough.
Does anyone know where we stand with this, or have anyadvice?
