Parking ticket/Marston's gone quiet

Hope this is in the right place, if not feel free to move/advise!
I had a parking ticket in Nov 2012, and then a letter from Marston's in Sept 2013. A week later i had two visits from a bailiff, and the charges had gone from the original £82 to in excess of £400. I disputed these ridiculous charges with the advice of National Debtline and the letters between us went back and forth for a month or so.
I haven't heard a peep since about Dec (four months approx) What do i do now? Do i assume they've given up or is the plot thickening?

Was this in relation to a PARKING charge notice (invoice) or a PENALTY charge notice (fine)?0

Given Marstons are involved I'd suggest this was a council penalty charge.

A Council PCN can't have been £82 though.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
