Scottish Power Advice

I bought a new house in October last year and immediately changed my supplier from E-On to Scottish Power through the Cheap Energy Club on here. I chose a dual electric and gas deal with Scottish power, who emailed me saying to sit back and do nothing as it was all being taken care of for me.
being new to this whole house ownership thing, I believed them. it was only when E-On contacted me at Christmas demanding £118 for used energy in October that I thought something was wrong. After logging in on my Scottish power account I noticed the Gas hadn't been set up (still in stage 1 of their 4 stages). so I got in touch with E-On asking how they can send me a final bill without a gas reading. after several phone calls to both companies (as Scottish power initially refused to acknowledge that they provided me with gas) I found out that Scottish power had provided a false meter reading to E-On.
On 25th January I provided Scottish power with an up to date meter reading (which incidentally was lower than the one they provided to E-On 10 weeks earlier) and was told again that everything would be sorted out. I continued to email them about this until the 12th Feb when I finally got an apology off someone and was assured that everything was being sorted.
today I received a threat of legal action from E-On for the unpaid bill and having spoke to E-On they tell me that Scottish Power still haven't been in touch. Is there anything more I can do? I have requested a call back from Scottish Power later today

Make sure you specify you want to open a complaint with SP when they call you. Also ask for the complaint number, it's then passed to a complaints dept where in my experience you're more likely to get a resolution.
Make a note of the date and time you were on the phone, the name of the person you spoke to and what exactly they agreed too.0
