How can I get a good exchange rate when transfer euro to the UK?

Dear all
As titled would you please help to recommend a method to transfer euro to the UK.
Redundant in the UK, I found a Job in Austria and need regular transfer to the UK, Having bank accounts in the UK and Austria, I did 100 euro SEPA Transfer to test its rate last week, turning into 81.40 GBP, while the rate on Google was 83.50.
Is there any other transfer method to get a better rate? Please feel free to recommend your elegant advice. Thanks in advance.
