quick question

Hi to all
we have finished with our EA as contract has finished but they have made no effort to remove the for sale board its been a week since contract has finished.
now my question is would we be within our rights to invoice the EA for advertising their services on our property as we now have no contract with them as i'm sur they would have to pay for a hoarding in the high st etc
or
invoice them for storage on our property

many thanks

they took 2 weeks to even erect a sign at my property. Its possible their boarding service is too busy.

Perhaps a phonecall to say come and get this sign or I'm binning it, would be in order. (they might not rush because theoretically, if someone sees the sign and goes to them, they can sell your house and still get commission even though its outside the contract now)

Just take it down if you don't want it there and call them and ask them to take it. They don't all take them down proactively though all have taken it down when I have asked.

i agree. you may get 75p a week for the advertising rights, this is after the lengthy count case and going grey in the process.

And if you consider that they didn't invoice you for the work that they have done? (Regardless of how useless you think they were, they will have spent money on your behalf)

Even though the initial sole agency period has expired have you written to them to terminate the agreement? Most EA's require 14 days written notice to end the contract.......if you havn't done this they probably still think they are marketing the property.
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)
    Ignore......check!
