If you don't fully understand what these type of programs do, don't use them as often they can cause more problems than they solve to the uninitiated. There are very good tried and trusted free programs available that will do everything needed to keep your pc or laptop operating efficiently. Many of those programs are recommended in the sticky about speeding up your system. You don't need to pay for software to do computer maintenance.

Erm, this is actually a free offer.

However, I fully agree with the comment that these things can do more harm than good. I tried this programme some time ago and whether it was just coincidence it took me about a month to sort out how get my system to install Windows updates!

Most tech people reckon Glary is a good piece of kit. In fact it's better than Advanced System Care and perfectly safe to use.

I think the emphasis is on "tech people" as I am sure that if you know exactly what you are doing it's a pretty good piece of kit.....I obviously didn't!

Thanks for that. Still showing 20 hours to gow now.

This looks a lot like the giveawayoftheday site which I get daily emails from. I've signed up with this one too. Now I'll have to resist the temptation to fill my machine up with junk freebies :)

Of course I realised it was a free, limited time offer. However, many non-techies may be tempted to pay for the software when they have absolutely no understanding of what the it does. Advanced System Care can also be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Too many people think these programs are cure-alls for their pc problems and just end up with even more.
