UC and self employment with young child

Hi,
I have a 1.5 year old and my oh works 37.5hrs a week earning £14500/year. We currently receive WTC (a little) and CTC.

I have been working towards setting up a business since baby was born, which I would work on a few evenings a week, one weekend day and various craft fairs over a year, so 12-16hrs a week on average.

I have been reading up on UC and am now worried how the claim would treat me working part time? There seems to be very little info out there on couples if one is working full time. Will I have to work a set amount? If I declare I am self employed working x hours, will that amount be automatically deducted from our family claim? It will be making stock to sell at craft fairs, so money will be in big chunks through the year, will this affect the claim?

Any help gratefully received, or a link to the right info.

Thanks!
