my dad died in December and i am trying to get information to fill in a tax form my mum has been sent regarding my dads investments. He had a regular premium deposit based assurance bond taken out with homeowners back in 1982. i need to find out if this type of policy had interest and tax payable to it ? for the tax form. All my mum has is statements showing valuations over the years and engage are no help over the phone
also my dad had 464 barclays shares yet my mum has thrown all the dividend and tax vouchers so i need to know what the dividend and tax would have been on these between 5th april to 17 december???
many thanks for your help

Has the company not written to you concerning this policy now that your father's death has been advised? Do you need to provide a death certificate/grant of probate?
What kind of policy was this? Was it a savings plan as here? http://www.engagemutual.com/products/easy-save/at-a-glance/0 -
yes i have talked to them on the phone but they will not give me any details, i will send them the death certificate when we get it back from another company we are dealing with also. but in the meantime i am trying to get the details to fill in the form the inland revenue has sent my mum regarding my dads interest and tax on savings and investments.

I do not quite understand what has happened here - if it was a 10 year investment, did the society not contact your father on maturity in 1992 so that he could claim the proceeds?
Or did he choose to re-invest?0 -
YES BUT HE just kept it in there ?0

Do you have a copy of the key features document relating to this policy?0
