                    Hello all.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated on this one.
Madbid.com advertised buy one get two free on credit purchases on Sunday, but didn't start this offer until around 10am. Offer stating "today only".
I made 4 purchases around 9.30am...pretty unlucky. I have contacted Madbid several times only to be given the run around. Refusing to honor their own offer and give me the credits owed. Even though I have argued from the start that if you advertise "today only", it should infact mean all day not just when they fealt like it.
They have also refused to refund.
Please help.

You have no grounds for anything. Sorry.0

It seems a bit harsh to think there is no avenue to pursue.
If this happened in any retail store you would be entitled to a refund if they wouldn't match the offer.0 -
As you say, it was unlucky. The site advertised and included a time. You bought before that time. That's not their fault. Sure, they could be nice and refund but they don't have to.
During a set time on that day there was an offer. It was that day only. It wasn't falsely advertised and they have every right to start and end an offer when they feel like. The offer could have been 10 minutes long but it would still have been on that day only.
It didn't state all day offer so why expect it to be all day? Besides what do you class as all day? At what time does the day begin and end in your opinion for the offer to be fair?0 -

No you wouldn't. They have terms and conditions for a reason. If they falsely advertised or you didn't get the offer in the time stated that would be different. Outside of that time you're not entitled to anything. Some stores offer such things as a good will gesture or to be more competitive but unless it's the T&Cs you're not entitled to it.0 -

Actually retail stores do this all the time, special offers start at certain times or days every week.
If you don't notice the special before has a start time it isn't their fault.====0 -

I looked at it once and totally agree. My only thought would be if people take it as a gambling site with a chance of winning and some fun, it isn't a marketplace as far as I can see. If you've got money to lose and like a gamble fair enough, it's a bit like selling on Ebid;)COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »why do people use mad bid??

OP can you confirm if the site said the offer started at 10am or did you only see the words today only hence your confusion. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -
To clarify, the offer started around 10am because I had a txt from them.
The advertised offer just said today only. I appreciate that "today only" could be interpreted differently, but in my own opinion it should in fact mean the whole of their trading day.0
