Hi all.
I received a parking ticket from Minster Maywatch at the hospital where I work 14 days ago. I have a permit but apparently I was parked outside of a designated bay. However, there was nothing to say I couldn't park there and there are cars parked there everyday.
They are now asking for the usual £25/£50.
The appeal deadline is up today. Do I appeal or wait for the NTK. It reads as though they wont accept any appeals if I wait for the NTK to come
Thanks

My advice, wait for the NTK. That will give you ample time to read the sticky thread at the top of the page that you appear to have missed.

Does it say whether they are members of the BPA?
If so they are not complying with the Code of Practise as the driver should be given 28 days and if no response is received within that time they issue a NtK who also gets 28 days to appeal.
EDIT extra info - On BPA web-site - they are listed as approved operators0 -
As this was issued at a hospital they will probably have a parking policy, or a website with parking information on.
Does this policy/info mention anything about fines, penalties or charges that are there in order to act as a deterrent?
if so then its a good thing as the parking company/hospital may have shot itself in the foot. From the Plain Language Commission:

It is a lease car, through the NHS Trust!0 -
In that case. Act now send of an appeal naming yourself as the driver. Send email one and copy in post. You don't want a charge from the ease companyProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

I would also demand a popla code should they decline your appeal as they like to forgetProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

Update:
I wrote a letter of appeal to say there was no sign to say I couldn't park where I did and that the fine was disproportionate. They emailed back 2 weeks later to say the fine was now cancelled.
Didn't expect that

Wow - Minster Baywatch never used to cancel any - I guess they don't like issuing POPLA codes to people who would win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
