Plant ident please

Ok a bit of a puzzle not sure if weed or plant but good ground cover. Only discovered it once I was taking overgrown lavender out in the front garden.

I'd say it was a sedum, but no clue which one...

Fairly sure it's not horse tail

Leaves too thick to be horse tail. Check out alpines, does look a little sedum ish.

Sorry should of said growing horizontal, so its not horsetail.

looking on Google with DaftyDuck's sedum, it could be Sedum rupestre.

Will take my camera down to the bungalow tomorrow to take photos to confirm.

Definately an alpine, maybe a sedum (acre)? potentially an alpine Euphorbia, or Delosperma, or even a sea heath. Will be interesting to see when and if it flowers.
  • It definitely wasn't there last year when I was pulling up ash seedlings so wasn't planted. Don't do plants so was wondering if it was a gift from birds or the wind?
