1) Has anybody has any experience buying from the above seller ?
2) would I be charged anything by customs as the item is being shipped from the UK [see item 140134310577] ?
3) where do i stand with respect to warranty and stuff ? any help would be greatfully received

Seems to be a fairly reputable and certainly high volume seller. Do you mean US, not UK. It is possible you would get charged customs, its quite random though and may depend on postage method used as well. As for warranty, if you fund your paypal with credit card, your credit card company provide you with a warranty (I think this is still valid if purchasing from UK). You can send the item back for a refund should it prove faulty and reclaim via Paypal, but this is timely and costly.

Not wanting to be rude, but why didn't you ask these questions before committing to spend?

Not very likely :) The chance of one of their customer being a regular here isn't high :) Their feedback is pretty good though.

Maybe, you'd need to ask the seller.

I echo the above comments and would also remind you to pay using paypal backed by a credit card or a straight credit card, just in case.

I note that this item does not show as shipping to the UK

so are you therefore in the US yourself or in the UK but asked whether it can be shipped here and at what cost? If the camera is shipped from the US and you are in the UK then yes all sorts of duty and taxes will be payable, plus a handling fee. However like fay says not all items actually get stopped on their way through and I have certainly had some US items reach me without further charge. However, for an item this expensive you should allow all the extra payments and not be surprised if it gets charged en route.

Also, the auction number you gave shows no winning bidder?
