PPI Reclaim after IVA...Help required

Hello all, not sure if this is in the right place so apologies if it isn't
BF had an IVA that ended almost 2 years ago and in moving recently we found the paperwork with account numbers/details etc from his debters.
I asked if he knew if he had PPI on any of the debts and he told me that at least one of them wouldn't let him take the original sum without the PPI, which I believe to be wrong? Please correct me if I am wrong there.
Given that this debt was taken out over 6 years ago, can he reclaim the PPI if it was mis-sold?
Thank you in advance for any help/advice given

First of all, your bf would have to have some proof that it had been miss sold, 'being told' isn't proof Im afraid and is the weakest reason of all, but if he had this in writing, that would be different.
Redress can be taken even if over 6 years. 6 years is the statute barred time, but it doesn't mean the debt is not owed. It means it cannot be enforced through the courts.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Can we go through the same processes as people fighting current/more recent PPI claims by sending for SAR and finding out information?
All I am currently in possession of is the account and credit card numbers on a statement from the company that were dealing with his IVA0 -
You can - it will probably cost £10 a time.
If any PPI turns up then it may not have been missold. If it is then the firm concerned is likely to withhold it to meet any debts it has had to write off or arrears on its account in the first instance.0
