Plastering over copper pipe

I have a new mixer shower and copper piping run in my bathroom wall and before it is plastered over I Understand it needs some insulation to stop the pipe corroding and also something that will allow it to expand with heat. I have read many things about using hairfelt lagging, foam lagging, ducting tape, electrical insulation tape, denso tape etc and there seems to be no one answer
What do I need to put around the pipe before plastering over it to stop any corrosion from the plaster and also to allow it to expand with heat- iw as thinking foam lagging but it is very thick and may stick out- would the hairfelt lagging be good enough and allow expansion
I am not keen on tape as I don’t think it will allow for expansion
Thanks in advance for any help

If you're tiling the wall with fairly big tiles, I would just tile over the void if its only a pipes width. In reality, many pipes are just plastered straight over.
If it were me, I would have created a void behind the shower using studs. This would give you an area to better conceal your pipework instead of bashing your walls about.Could HAVE. Should HAVE. Would HAVE. Not OF.0 -
Hot & cold pipes shouldn't be plastered over it's against the water regs, tiled over is fine but not plasteredI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
as you are tiling over I probably would not bother either.
However if you really want to, expanding foam is a good solution0
