Morning all,
Hope you have all been well. I've been a bit down the last few days or so and haven't had the drive to post.
I can't believe how much is going wrong this year and financially we are a bit strained. I know a lot of people are too so I shouldn't complain.
The Penalty Charge notice we got for parking in Wickes car park has just pushed me too far. I'm in the process of appealing with the help of the good people on the motoring forum, but I don't like the fact I don't understand a lot of the legal gobblydegook! I wonder if it is easier just to pay the fine, but £60 is a lot of money at the moment to fork out and it's a free ruddy car park etc... I must stop moaning ;/
Hope you all have a good day0 -

Good afternoon,
sorry to hear quite a few people struggling with depression on here.DS2s OH also has some bad times & I do feel for her,it can make life very difficult sometimes and atm her dad is about to start cancer treatment which isnt helping matters
Thankfully DH & DS2 seem to have got a bit of work in now so that should make life a bit easier,he and DGC are coming for tea tonight .Bangers & mash I think, thank goodness I filled my freezers up before the work dried up-the perils of being self employed.
Horrid day here, cold and wet-already changed once after dog walking.I'm going to go upstairs and make the taggie DNiece asked me to make for her friends expected baby girl. She is very pleased with the work uniform I altered and got me a lovely present,a reed diffuser, wasnt expecting that at all.I've put it on the windowsill halfway up the open stairs so I can smell it upstairs and down
Snoozer, glad you had a nice birthday meal.
Hugs to those in need x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Oh gosh my day just got worse:
Got in from work to a message to ring DS2's head of year. Guess what. They are asking him to leave as he is predicted carp AS grades. Me and DH aren't really surprised and have been expecting it to happen. He isn't a bad boy but like the head said he is more vocational than academic even though he did very well in his GCSEs. What happens now? I hope he hasn't !!!!!!ed up his chances with potential apprenticeships, college courses or a job. Very sad face0 -
Just popped in for a quick catch up.
mrsmortonharket - I hope all goes well for you and your son.
(((hugs))) for all who are in need & any that want.
I have had to resort to a strong coffee & banana to keep me going as my eyes keep trying to fall asleep at work :rotfl: not helped by it being very very quiet here!! How my OH and all you others do regular early mornings (pre 7am)...well I salute you all!!!!
Tea tonight is chicken with new potatoes, broccli, cabbage, green beans and sweetcorn; just debating if to do a tomatoey sauce for a change over gravy, shall see when I get home. Preped it all before I came to work so hoping to have a sort through the freezer and get my shopping list ready for Thursday morning.
Have a lovely rest of the day everyone and sending happy vibesChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Don't panic he can get a college course with GCSE's
DS had terrible trouble at school, mainly down to bullying because of his aspergersbut since he has been at college he has gone on leaps and bounds.
Teachers still treat sixth formers as if they are children whereas Tutors treat them as adults
The school has failed him not the other way around xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Grey and chilly here today, what a difference the weather can make on moods
We went over to the freezer wholesalers this morning and we were really shocked at how much their prices have gone up  It is now cheaper for us to go to the local farm and butcher for meatWe got a few bits but only spent £8. Won't be going back there in a hurry.
The boys are have steak and kidney pudding with potatoes, broccolli and carrots and I will have chicken
Belated birthday wishes snoozer xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Another one struggling with the BD here. Trouble is, with this latest wretched lupus flare, I have too much pain and fatigue to do anything much, and if I'm not busy, the black thoughts come creeping in; it's a bit of a Catch 22 situation. I can't help but think of what I might've done with my life, if I hadn't become ill.:(
Anyways, I don't want to drag the thread down, so will belt up now.
Molly I'm pleased to hear that Molly Doggy is so much brighter.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
