Bought house comes as a commercial address

I bought a house from a private seller about 2 years back. When I put the address of the property and search using the post-code, invariably a commercial address comes up like as an example. This happening even on the Royal mail site when I try to find my address.
Wooden Promotions Ltd
10 Myers Street
London
LO1 2SE
When I had spoken to the vendor at that time, he had said that it was a company owned by his father which has long been defunct.
How can I remove the name of the company from my property? Do I need to speak to the Royal Mail?
Thanks

There's probably a mechanism for getting things changed on the Royal Mail database - but how quickly it will take effect with all the other ones out there depends on how frequently the other companies bother to "synch" their database with the RM one. Some are quick, others are terribly slow.0

I think you need to contact the seller again and ask them if their company is still in any council register.
I suspect it first has to be removed from any official registers, before the address is dubbed not commercial.
Also, if you searched in Google, note that their index is not dead accurate to the current state of any location, meaning it might show you some dated information which no longer exist in any official record. With Regards,

Thanks for your response. I did that and the previous owner says that this was a company opened by his father who is no more now and company has long being closed and he is not aware of anything about the company.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
You could try Royal Mail’s Address Maintenance team on 08456 01 11 10 - they maintain the PAF (Postal Address File) that businesses use
Edited to add:
The geographical number is 0191 512 76140 -

Is it a Ltd company?
If so is this the company's registered address at Companies House?

Have you tried doing a postcode lookup on the Post Office site (rather than an address lookup using "your" postcode)?
http://www.postoffice.co.uk/postcode-finder
If a business name comes up on a postcode then only that business is supposed to be using that postcode and you may well find that there's actually another postcode for your address that you should be using.Every generation blames the one before...

http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/ will tell you what the state of the company is
Contacting RM will get the PAF file updated to remove the company name from the address but it will take a fair amount of time for that to filter down as the updates are fairly expensive and so smaller companies only buy them periodically0 -

I very much doubt it.
My last business address came up on various websites, presumably via PAF, with a whole raft of the previous occupant companies - including, obviously, ours. I never bothered looking for the predecessors, but ours certainly wasn't the registered address - that was our accountant's office.
OP - I really wouldn't worry about it. All it says is that a business has been at this address in the past. It says nothing about the address now, it says nothing about you, it has absolutely no influence other than being an extra entry in a droplist on some websites every now and then when you click the "find my address" button.0 -

When I do the search, the name of the property comes as
Leather Promotions Ltd
XX Any Lane
London
and gives the same post code as of my houseI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0
