Hello,

I'm about to apply for a d.r.o.

I didn't mean to get into this mess, but either way I'm 10k in the red and struggling. Payplan and stepchange have both admitted I'm ok to apply for this.

Received the form today. Only sticking point is the car before I send it off..

The valuation has come back with 4 figures, trade in, private etc. Three are 700-900 and the other one is 1020? Anyone know which one the OR will use.

I need the car ferry about my little boy, and to attend college, and work, and due to being out in the sticks, public transport is not an option. Would they reject it on the first figure being over the £1000 mark slightly.

Like I said, I didn't mean to get in this position. A relationship breakdown, sudden substantial income drop, homelessness, and then, when I think I'm getting back on my feet, I fall ill and have to fight to stop my body from shutting down, has left me in this position. I doubt any of us on this board meant to get in this position.

so anyone know which they will use?

If it can be valued by a free valuation on Parkers, then that is what must be used. Other than that, a proper valuation site like wisebuyers is OK but not WBAC.

The valuation should be for a private sale - you can judge what condition the car is in.

    What's the 'private poor' figure?

Well, I took your advice, did the one on parkers:

    Original Price
    More info £15,560

    Franchised Dealer
    More info £720

    Independent Dealer
    More info £625

    Private Good
    More info £485

    Private Poor
    More info £285

    <li class="mb0">Part Exchange
    More info £315.
So I think there is quite a difference... All clear and under 1k, so the applications being paid tomorrow. . Thanks for your reply.

Great! You can put £285 or £485 depending on whether its condition is 'poor' or 'good'. I wouldn't have a problem with 'average' at £385 either.
