Travel Insurance with decent Gadget cover

Options
I am shopping around for a couple's European multi-trip policy using the usual comparison/cashback sites. No one seems to show what level of gadget cover you get without clicking on to the policy wordings or summaries, which is getting tedious.

Does anyone have any particular recommendations for a company that offer a reasonable level of cover without charging the earth? We generally take away two smart phones, an iPad and sometimes a laptop.

Can you get the iPad and laptop in the hotel safe?

I normally get Columbus insurance & they have a thing where you can add on a payment of around £8 to get extra gadget insurance.

even on top policies the baggage cover is fairly token compared to the rest of the coverages. Normally just cover them under your Personal Possessions/ All Risks section of your Home insurance

My OH dad is an insurance broker and said recently (when he went on holiday with a friend who was intending to propose and therefore had an expensive ring he wanted covered) that travel insurance policies don't tend to cover expensive items like that as there were too many fraudulent claims. Best to make sure they're covered on home insurance.

Thanks claire16c. I tried Columbus and they seemed on the more reasonable side, even with the additional 'gadget' supplement. Plus i found I could 18% cashback via my employee reward site - bonus!
