painting over chaulk

I have a beautiful plastered wall, that developed some hairline cracks. covered and filled with chaulk, and overpainted -dulux matt. 2 weeks later the area appeared darker- the paint was different colour- re-painted- same thing two weeks later.
What route should I go- thinking of covering with very thin filler (powdered type), or I have some Zinser Bulleye 123 sealer- does matt cover this well ?

That Zinser stuff is marvelous. It's only fairly recently that I've used it, after reading recommendations about it on a tradesmen website.
If Zinser can successfully cover a dark varnished surface or oily stains, it should certainly be able to work well on caulk.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
