First call assist??
Last year myself and my girlfriend were shunted from behind at traffic lights.. She suffered a genuine neck injury whereas i was fine (She was leaning forward at the time and was flung back into the seat).
Insurance claim went through, car repaired and my girlfriend received £2400 compensation..
This morning she had a phone call from 'First Call Assist', they said they were just doing a follow up to ask if we were happy with the service we received from the insurance company, courtesy car, and repair people etc. They seemed to know every detail of what happened. Near the end of the call the lady on the line asked if we realised there was another pay out we had not received for myself. My girlfriend explained that I was not injured, but was told it wasnt an injury compensation, but to cover any stress or upset as a result of the accident. My girlfriend said she would speak to me first, and they've offered to ring back later...
I can find no reference to this company online (good OR bad) so my alarm bells are ringing! Any ideas?? they said that this pay out will be between £1400 and £4000... seems a lot! HELP!
