ppi on mortgage

ive just sold my house which i lived in for seventeen years.i paid ppi on the mortgage which i used a few times when i was off work,can i claim back any of the rest of the ppi which i paid.

    No. You cant just claim it back. You would be making a formal complaint against the seller of the policy giving reasons (and evidence typically in the case of MPPI) for why you believe it was mis-sold or unsuitable for you.

    As you have used it several times to claim on then clearly you have no complaint reasons about eligibility, suitability or financial need. So, what exactly would it be that you would complain about?

    So you have benefited from the policy you took out and it was clearly fit for purpose, yet you want your money back?

    If you did complain and were successful, the redress paid would have the value of what you've alrady had in claims deducted anyway.

    I suspect the OP already realises this, as he wants "the rest" of any PPI paid according to post#1 of the thread.
