Npower direct debit mess up

Bit of a non story but I checked my npower account last night and saw I had been sent two bills (previously had been told I wouldn't be billed until May so good job I checked) and they had altered my monthly debit to just over £6k a month, with no explanation on how they calculated that on the bill (despite predicting my energy cost to be abot £980 pa.) Don't know if they would have ended up taking £6k but I wasn't going to test it to find out.

Obviously I called them this morning and they've changed it but just a heads up to check your accounts as "apparently that should have been flagged as an error" but it wasn't.

It'll be that Olympic sized heated swimming pool you had installed next to the new sauna.

Either that or their computer programmer is on crack.
