Don't worry about earthing up too much as long as you planted the seed potatoes around 6 inches deep you can earth them up when the leaves show and keep earthing them up until June or until the mound is 8 or 10 inches high. I have an old shed which I had to rebuild I only keep old tools there the sort that I wouldn't worry too much about losing, I don't consider it possible to secure the sort of garden shed that are seen on allotments so to save having the lock broke I don't bother to lock it. The best way to secure tools is to hide them, if you construct something that looks like a compost bin from old pallets put a false bottom in it hide your tools in there and cover it over so it looks like it is full of grass cuttings or leaves. Lock a shed and any thieves will know that it has something in it which is worth taking.0
