Hi
As stated been with eon since moving to property 3 years ago, looking to reduce my household bills and comparison sites show I can save £12 a month moving from eon to bg so will look to do this.Is switching easy? Do they have to do anything to the meters? Should I be looking to switch everytime the plan ends?
Any advice would be great.

Switch either contact a company or use a comparison site or the MSE Energy Club .
If you are out of contract now then its a matter of signing up for xxx tarrif . Switch-over takes up to six weeks and is paperwork only not meter swap .
Contract and price you pay may increase but you can take out a fixed tariff one year two years or three years dependant upon supplier . You will pay more than the current rate for a fixed tariff but hope to beat any further price rises .

Me looked around used MSE Energy Club and decided to move to Ovo as current fixed tariff ending .
Two emails next step is a welcome pack from the new supplier . Check what you signed up for . About four weeks down the line new supplier will give you a switch-over date and ask for meter readings .Old supplier will then cease your account .

No, there is no change to supply, meters or wiring-it's purely a billing change.
If you don't switch at the termination date of a tariff then you will be placed back on Standard tariff-the most expensive.
