PPI bank contacted me?

Options
I have known about PPI for some time but never thought it would apply to me. However out of the blue I received a letter from Halifax PPI team informing me that they where concerned that my type of policy suggests it could have been miss sold.

I responded to this letter giving my concerns (what I could remember anyway) as this was a sizeable loan and if anything was due I want redress. They used a reference number and I thought this was the loan ( as I know have no paperwork held after this amount of time and no longer bank with them. But it appeared not.

I have just had a response from them asking me to fill out the standard form even though I gave them written details of all the information I have. It's states on the letter loan agreement number unknown???.

Anyone any ideas where I go from here?

This is known as a CCL. The format is defined by the regulator and does not mean you have been mis-sold. It is just telling you that you had PPI. That is the only criteria.

Have a look at the form and see if there is anything that you may have missed that is on the form. If there is then supply that extra info. For anything you have already supplied, then just say "already supplied" and do not repeat yourself.

You dont need to go anywhere else.
I think you should get advice from Trading standards, This is definitely something they would be looking into

Trading standards have nothing to do with the FCA regulated complaints process.
