POPLA Appeal - G24 - Deadline: 19 March

  • Just to let you all know, parking appeal was submitted online last night. Found a good google-maps image which quite clearly shows there is absolutely no sign of a sign anywhere near the entrance of the car-park...surprising how they missed that on "carefully inspecting the land".

Any one know how long it usually takes for them to get back to me?

A further issue with regards to the out-of-date appeal, they gave me a final notice suggesting i could make representations as to why i hadn't appealed (mitigating circumstances and such). Although when i went on their website there was no such option to do so and they continued to insist i must pay the ticket.

Seems a bit ridiculous to me as I haven't had one opportunity to appeal (and genuinely did not receive the letter). I suggested to them that they either let me appeal or let me submit mitigating circumstances, to do otherwise would be unreasonable. I wrote them a bit of an essay to that effect and suggested they could offer me a POPLA code if they did not wish to receive any representations on the issue.

Just wondered what's the legal position on not appealing within date.... further, surely if my POPLA appeal is upheld then the previous ticket (and indeed all other flaming tickets from there) are invalid!?

Maybe that warrants a new thread but I've still got a baby next to my name so be gentle :)

Just a heads up, but it is worth noting that Google Streetview images tend to be wildly out of date...!

You can usually tell from what date the image applies from the watermarked copyright notice on the image.
