Erudio would not dare take you to court but may refuse any compo payment unless you use their highly SUSPECT DAF. I am expecting a similar FOS ruling myself. They really are NOT touching the whole DAF issue. Shame on them and the Govt. But hey the little people dont count anymore. All good business for their mates in the CITY :)

Yeah not arsed about the losing the £50 combo. Might as well say yes to the fos and then send in the SLC DAF, see what happens.

@ StudentLoansSuck on your last point re DD's, we're definitely under no obligation to maintain a DD during deferment, but once repayments are due, the Regs say this should be by DD, unless the lender agrees to an alternative payment method. We don't have a choice on that, although I can't see a lender refusing payment, whatever form it takes?

As for the carry on with Erudio insisting on a DD during deferment, nothing more than an empty threat, but results in plenty of intimidation and opportunity for "erroneous" bank raids.

I can. Its a mystery to me why they even bother to put anything in writing only to fake amnesia the next time they decide to get in contact, unless they don't keep records of all the crap the are sending out.

Erudio has hit new levels of incompetence.....last night, after settling for an agreed figure and paying up over two weeks ago, I received a letter to say, as I have not deferred, my first payment is due on the 24th June, and to my utter astonishment this money came out of my account yesterday. Can they not even keep track of who they are settling with!!?? This meant yet more phone calls to this joke of a company telling them what they have already agreed to me in bloody writing! I was assured a refund will be imminent, but I bet it'll be a few more phone calls until I get that money back! Tip for all who settle; keep a close eye on your accounts when your current deferral runs out!

What happened with your settlement? What did you agree with them?

Oh never mind, I just read your PM.

I've been told it's still with Head Office too so I'm guessing I need to regularly chase them?

Still, by the sounds of it, even if you get the settlement, they're still going to have little "accidents" and take money out of your account. I'm still amazed they never explained to me why there's an advance payment of £90 on my account that has nothing to do with any payments I've made.

I honestly don't know how they can operate like this. If it was the SLC I would happily pay them off. This lot, absolutely no way they are getting the full amount.

    Is Head Office actually Arrow?

In theory HQ would be the busy Mr Filers office, but I can see him dealing with much given all the companies and charities under his leadership...

  • Head Office appears to be based in Rotherham but from what I understand, the call centre is in Leeds and they have no way of contacting the Rotherham office. How the call centre can't contact their own Head Office is amazing to me.

probably because the head office is just an empty office with a desk in it.

Indeed, it is Rotherham. At the very start of the thread, there are even links to google earth where you can see the very building. Its a huge building, previously owned by Ventura, purchased by Capita, that runs loads of these 'customer service' frontline contracts for different companies/councils. The Erudio department is just a small part of Capita's contracts.
We arent really their customers, we are just there to be "processed".

But Capita are there to just process, the real decisions must come from somewhere else?
